More FREE DLC on the way for Mass Effect 2.
Want to know why Mass Effect is easily one of the best games you will play in 2010? Aside from the epic gameplay, stunning visuals and compelling characters that make up this space opera, it's because Bioware is one of the few developers left who has absolutely no qualms about throwing the word 'free' infront of their DLC.

The Bioware Twitter account has been on fire over the last couple days revealing a ton of tasty-bits on the horizon for Mass Effect 2.

The upcoming DLC will be available, much like the Zaeed Massani content, completely free to those who have already signed up to the Cerberus Network. Cerberus network DLC was available to those who picked up first hand copies after release.

As for the content of upcoming DLC, well you're guess is as good as mine (Not really, I'm quite the narcissist and think all my guesses are spot on). But there are those with theories and the rumor mill has clearly begun to spin. As the site Armchair Diplomat points out:

"As to the upcoming package’s content, there is all manner of speculation over the internet. Eight out of ten Salarian science teams agree that this pack will be adding the M57 Hammerhead Hovertank, which was originally designed to replace the literally-all-terrain vehicle Mako from Mass Effect 1. If so, then this means that we might actually get some planetary exploration back, instead of long, drawn-out scanning for minerals. Quickly, launch moar [sic] probes while you still can!"

Theory interesting. Conclusion flawed. Hypothesis based on assumption that video game market on Citadel and Terminus system for 18-340 y/o Krogan demographic wants planetary exploration. Mako uneventful. Not tragic loss in sequel experience. Exploration boring. Mineral scanning time consuming but like Genophage is necessary evil.

According to EA, Mass Effect 2 has sold nearly $2 Million in its first week and over on Metacritic it's receiving a 96 rating on the 360 and a 94 for the PC.
